In the story "Ugly duckling". Although the duck was ugly, his mother love him. The ugly duck's brother could see this so they hate ugly duck. I think they hate ugly duck beacuse they jealousy him. Ugly duck was innocent. his brother usually bullying to him so his monther cried ugly duck went out. But I know his mother love his very much.
The ugly duckl was interlligent and be strong. Finally, he could become a swan. It is a good ending.

Nice try, Mandy; jealousy is a big idea that can be defended well using examples from the story. Love, too, is another theme in the story that you've mentioned.
